Presented by Australian Federation of Disability Organisations
Discover the power and potential of successful businesses established by entrepreneurs with disability.
Hosted by Triple J presenter, paralympian and entrepreneur, Dylan Alcott, this event is designed for entrepreneurs and business leaders seeking to gain an innovative edge and people with disability wanting to explore entrepreneurship. All presentations will be live streamed across Australia.
The businesses showcased amply demonstrate that innovation comes in many other forms than tech start-ups. Gain insights into how these entrepreneurs who have a disability got started, the barriers they faced, the things they did differently and the steps they took to thrive. Learn, too, about the resources and tools available to support others thinking about establishing their own ventures.
After a networking lunch, part two of the session will focus on how to bring a potential business idea to life and the pitfalls to look out for, with experts and entrepreneurs available for smaller group discussions, with a focus on emerging entrepreneurs with disability.
Founder of Ability Fest and the Dylan Alcott Foundation Dylan Alcott will be joined by a range of dynamic speakers including Disability Leadership Institute Founder and CEO Christina Ryan and other established and emerging entrepreneurs. This event is hosted by the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations, with the support of the Victorian Government through ‘Every opportunity: Victorian economic participation plan for people with disability 2018-2020’.
